THE TOWN IS NOW SEEKING INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE TOWN HALL ROOF REPLACEMENT
In accordance with MGL Chapter 149, the Town of Swansea is inviting bids for the replacement of the roof on the Town Hall, 81 Main Street, Swansea, MA 02777. Interested parties are invited to submit sealed bids in accordance with the bid documents, available electronically by emailing procurement@town.swansea.ma.us beginning June 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. A pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Swansea Town Hall, 81 Main Street, Swansea, MA 02777; attendance is strongly recommended. General bidders must be certified by DCAMM pursuant to MGL Chapter 149 Section 44D. Selected general bidder must be certified eligible in the DCAMM Prime/General category of HISTORICAL ROOFING. A 5% bid deposit is required at time of bid. A 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond must be provided at time of execution of contract. Prevailing wage rates apply.
Sealed bids will be accepted until Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. and will be publicly opened forthwith at the Swansea Town Hall. Bids must be clearly labeled “TOWN HALL ROOF REPLACEMENT” on the envelope and are to be delivered via mail or hand delivery by the bid opening date to the Town Administrator’s Office, 81 Main Street, Swansea, MA 02777. The Town of Swansea may cancel this IFB or reject in whole or in part any and all bids if cancellation or rejection is in the best interest of the Town. The Town will award the bid to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder.
