State Announces Plans for Continued Reopening

Today, the Baker-Polito Administration announced that Massachusetts would advance to Step 2 of Phase III of the state’s reopening plan on Monday, March 1, and also announced its plan to transition to Step 1 of Phase IV on Monday, March 22. With public health metrics continuing to trend in a positive direction, including drops in average daily COVID cases and hospitalizations, and vaccination rates continuing to increase, the Administration is taking steps to continue to reopen the Commonwealth’s economy.

State Announces Two Mass Vaccination Sites, New Appointments & Authorization for Caregiver to Get Vaccinated with 75+ Resident at Mass Vax Sites

Today, the Baker-Polito Administration announced two new mass vaccination sites will open in Natick and Dartmouth. On Thursday, 74,000 appointments will be posted online for mass vaccination sites and pharmacies at locations statewide. Approximately 30,000 additional appointments will be posted over the course of the week at pharmacies—totaling over 100,000 new appointments this week for mass vaccination sites and pharmacies.

2021 Shellfish Permits

Shellfishing Permits for 2021 are available.  Due to the pandemic, the Town Hall is still closed to the public.  In order ahead to obtain your shellfish permit; Town Clerk’s Office at 508-678-9389  ext. 2.  All your information will be taken over the phone, processed and the permit will then be available at the Town Hall for pickup.  Once you get to the Town Hall, you must again call the Town Clerk’s Office and a staff member will meet you at the side door.  Please remember, you must have an up-to-date census as part of the criteria for obtaining a Shellfish Permit.  Thank you!  Diane Pelland, Town Clerk

Baker-Polito Administration Awards Nearly $174 Million in Grants to 4,043 Additional Small Businesses for COVID Relief, Increases Capacity Limits for Businesses and Other Activities

Today, the Baker-Polito Administration announced approximately $173.9 million in awards to 4,043 additional small businesses in the sixth round of COVID relief grants administered by the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC). This program is focused on serving businesses that have been most impacted by the pandemic, including restaurants, bars, caterers, personal services and independent retailers.
