2021 Shellfish Permits

Shellfishing Permits for 2021 are available.  Due to the pandemic, the Town Hall is still closed to the public.  In order ahead to obtain your shellfish permit; Town Clerk’s Office at 508-678-9389  ext. 2.  All your information will be taken over the phone, processed and the permit will then be available at the Town Hall for pickup.  Once you get to the Town Hall, you must again call the Town Clerk’s Office and a staff member will meet you at the side door.  Please remember, you must have an up-to-date census as part of the criteria for obtaining a Shellfish Permit.  Thank you!  Diane Pelland, Town Clerk

Towns of Swansea and Somerset Co-Host COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics for Phase 1 Individuals

Swansea Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein, Somerset Town Administrator Richard Brown and Public Health Nurse for the Towns of Swansea and Somerset Emily Lachance are pleased to announce that the Towns of Swansea and Somerset have been successfully co-hosting COVID-19 vaccination clinics for those eligible to receive the vaccine in Phase 1 of the state’s distribution plan.

Notice for Proposals for CPA

The Community Preservation Committee is seeking proposals for project funding for the 2021-2022 fiscal year, which would begin July 1, 2021. The project must relate to preservation of land, preservation of historical sites or buildings, affordable housing, or equipment for recreation.

Applications are due at the Conservation Commission office at 68 Stevens Rd, Town Hall Annex on January 15, 2021.
